Imam From Istanbul Turned The Mosque Into Marketplace For Needy People (For Free) During COVID-19

 

An Imam at a mosque in Istanbul provided all the facilities for those in need of food as well as cleaning products during the current pandemic COVID-19.

This movement was done in collaboration with Vefa social support and groups, which have been working in Turkey for several years to deliver aid to those in need.


As Imam Abdulsamet Cakir brought the essential cleaning products as well as food to the mosque. In addition to that, he invited the people to donate by whatever they have such as money, flour, oil, rice, and other sustainable items.

” We have everything to meet the requirements of the family’s needs these days. oil, tea, sugar, rice, cleaning products and sweets for children. We need to bring benevolent people and people who are in need together,” said Cakir of the volunteer effort that began last Friday.

After posting the video in social media mosque has received a positive response from the community. People in need come here and take whatever they need, not more,” he said.


And further he adds,” during this big catastrophic pandemic (COVID-19) we should help each other as there no work during the lockdown and most people now are starving from the hanger, so we should be helpful towards our brothers by supporting them as much as we can “.

Spokesman said,” this is the Muslim community’s way of thanking NHS staff during this unprecedented time. The chairman of Masjid Ghausia, Mohammed Rafiq, delivered the food to HRI along with Mohammed. Raiz, Abdul Aziz, Arfan Sadiq, Farooq Hussain, Nasar, Mohammed, and Abrar Ashraf.

Also, there were more people from the Muslim community that have helped with providing essential products and funds to needy people, during the current pandemic (COVID-19)
