As we all know that in the Muslim world, the Arabs are considered as the richest. They are spending a huge of the amount in buying cars, golds, ships, investing in the business, and purchasing a variety of goods which are considered as costly. As the lavish lifestyle had put the attention of the media towards them in a huge potential.
Accordingly, Sulaiman Bin Abdul Aziz Alrajhi revealed in an interview by saying that he is no stranger to poverty, and he has been penniless on two different occasions in his life.
Sulaiman Alrajhi started working as a porter, carrying the shopping luggage for customers at Riyadh’s Khadra market, he was practicing this work in his nine years old. At 12, he started gathering the palm dates for a job that paid him no more than six Saudi Arabia Riyals per month. He passed his childhood life at that time through difficult struggles as he used to sleep on gravel at the same workplace with the same dresses which he wears during his hard work.
As he adds that ” I appreciate my wealth and I am so much thankful to Allah. In the past, I never gave money to my sons when they were asking me in return of nothing, but I was asking them to do some work in exchange for it, and that is in order to teach them how to be responsible for everything in their life.
Sulaiman Bin Abdul Aziz Alrajhi established and confound Alrajhi bank with his three brothers in 1957. It grew into one of the world’s largest Islamic banks.
As we all know the entire family which known as Alrajhi’s Family is considered to be a Saudi Arabia wealthiest non-royals and one among the world’s leading philanthropists, whose wealth was built and estimated from scratch.
In the year 2012, Sulaiman Alrajhi has received the king international prize for dedicating half of his fortune to charity as well as establishing an Islamic bank which supports the charity in all around the world.
As he donated $16 billion (60 billion Saudi Arabia Riyals) during his lifetime. Furthermore, he has given a lot of his lands in the form of( Waqf), Wagf is known in Islam as a given lands by a philanthropist from his own real estate for building mosques, schools, universities, and anything can be benefitted the society.
